VAN DRIVER

Where: Based at our Hemel Hempstead Distribution Centre; delivering to our stores across the UK

With: Distribution team, all stores, Head Office and wholesale businesses

When: 40 hours per week (7-day operation so flexibility is needed)

Reporting to: Distribution Manager


The role:

Delivering our wide range of products to all our stores and wholesalers with the appropriate care and attention required for a luxury brand.  Your time will be mostly spent travelling the breadth of the UK delivering all contents in a safe and timely manner. (UK covering as far north as York, Portsmouth in the south, Bridgend, Wales in the west and Norfolk in the east). You will be driving a Mercedes long wheelbase high top sprinted 3.5 tonne van. You will be loading and unloading the van at the various locations, ensuring delivery to the appropriate storage areas. The role is therefore, physically demanding.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for the safe delivery and collection of Osprey London stock to our various outlets and wholesale customers throughout the UK
  • Adhering to the weekly schedule created by the Distribution Manager
  • Management and maintenance of the Osprey London van at all times
  • Follow all safety regulations and precautions when driving, delivering and collecting stock
  • Responsible for the accurate completion of deliveries
  • Keeping in close daily contact with the Distribution Manager, regularly updating on your schedule
  • Assisting with the management of stock and space within the distribution centre when needed
  • Provide a friendly and supportive role between our stores and the distribution centre, whilst always representing the distribution team in a positive and productive manner
  • Assist your Distribution team members, with all elements of picking, packing and any other duties as and when they occur
