Warehouse Supervisor

Function of role:

Work within a team to ensure timely store replenishment and fulfilment of wholesale orders. Ensuring stock accuracy within the department along with high level of product care

Head Office, Dudley Street, Luton

Working hours:

MONDAY – FRIDAY: 8 hours per day across 8.00am – 6.00pm (40 hours per week or as necessitates the role)

Education requirements:

Good level of numeracy – Maths GCSE grade C or above

English GCSE grade C or above

Experience required:

1 year + warehouse experience

Full clean driving licence

Core Skills:

• Strong computer skills

• Flexible attitude

• Ability to demonstrate good planning skills

• Mentoring/Supervising junior distribution staff

• Ability to assist in the planning of work for the department and resources

• Efficient stock/space management skills

• Good communication skills – both verbal and written

• Desire to work in a physically demanding environment

• Attention to detail

• Awareness of health and safety guidelines and the need to work within with these

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT TO BE CONFINED TO:

Goods in:

• Help unpack, check and put away deliveries

• Arranging stock accurately

• Processing all appropriate paperwork eg transfers, receipting in of deliveries etc

Pick and Pack:

• Pick and pack store and wholesale orders

• Picking and packing wholesale deliveries and following packing guidelines

• Processing all paperwork on system for deliveries going by 3rd party courier company and company transport

• Ensure all goods are suitably and securely packaged for transport

Stock control and Despatch:

• Ensure all the goods are ready to despatch and all the paperwork is completed

• Assist with replenishment of store essentials

• Liaise with stores regarding weekly deliveries, packing list and amendments

• Prepare stock areas and count all stock each quarter to ensure stock accuracy

• Answer store queries as necessary

• File all paperwork accordingly

Other:

• Ensure working warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety guidelines

• Ensure optimal security of the building at all times

• Organise cardboard recycling
