I tend not to use exotic skins, even if bred for purpose. There's really no need when the crocodile and python prints I have used in recent collections look even more beautiful than the real thing.
Each leather has it's own character. The Polished Croc used to great effect on The Coco feels strict but sexy.
The Worn Leather on my new men's collection is reminiscent of gentlemen's clubs and tradition: that
heritage vibe is both reassuring and bang on trend.
The dyed and pigmented leathers we use on many of our bags are very smart, but I particularly love saddle leather. Waxed rather than dyed, this most natural-looking of leathers develops a patina that's individual to the wearer and just gets better with age.
